Broken Wings

The tear runs down your face

life overwhelms you

You can't seem to focus on the things

your love dimmed

You've been beaten and bruised

shattered heart

untamed spirit

depression hurts

you lose it all

Your life is hanging by a thread

you count the jars of tears you have shed through your life

not one, not even two

but a rooms filled with tears

Then, a butterfly flutters through the wind

with colors faded

The path it leaves

the traces you share

the memories it brings

good and bad

it still flies

even with broken wings
